About this role
Job summary We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse for 21.25 hours per week. The working hours would be Monday-Sunday day shifts and night shifts on internal rotation.
You will be based on Aspull ward at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary. The ward is a 28 bedded unit based on the acute site.
Candidates will only be shortlisted if they have a valid NMC registration.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidates duties and responsibilities will be to
Manage a bay of patients pre and post operative. Create and implement care plans Administer medication, dressings and wound care and communicate with the MDT.

Maintaining professional standards in all aspects of care delivery within the department. Organising own time and that of junior staff and learners. Responsibility for Health & Safety
Compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 the post holder is required to fulfil a proactive role towards the management of risk in all of their actions. This entails the risk assessment of all situations, the taking of appropriate actions and reporting of all incidents, near misses and hazards, and a statutory duty of care for their own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
