Job summary
We are looking for caring and compassionate Healthcare Support Workers to join our multi-disciplinary team at Gosport War Memorial Hospital on our Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) wards.
We are recruiting to two OPMH wards - Rose Ward, a 16-bed ward providing care for older people who have acute mental health needs and are unable to look after themselves or be looked after at home, and Poppy Ward, a 14-bed ward caring for patients with memory needs. Main duties of the job
If you are new to Health Care we will place you on a HCSW induction programme to ensure that you are fully trained and supported to perform the role. The programme will last for up to 6 months and during this period of training you will be paid a salary of £25272. On completion of your training period your salary will rise to £25760 as per the advert.
The Healthcare Support Worker in Inpatient Services is a core member of the ward team and will provide physical and psychological care to patients in accordance with the specified plan of care and as directed by a registered nurse or other qualified practitioner.
The Healthcare Support Worker will work to provide person centred and safe care to all patients and accurately record and report patient information to the Registered Nurse in a timely way and in line with agreed procedures.
