Job summary
As part of the Medical Education Team, the post holder will support with the coordination of all student/learner clinical activity across the Trust providing administrative support to both the Placement/Medical Education teams and the wider Education Directorate.
The role also requires the collection/input of accurate data onto bespoke IT systems/Excel spreadsheets to support the production and distribution of reports.
A requirement to continually develop and maintain clear processes and systems to support all placement/clinical provision which impact and support quality of practice learning and student/learner progression.
The role requires the post holder to support all activity across all sites; therefore, there will be an expectation to travel across all sites within the Trust and to travel across the region to support our Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) partners with exams/open events etc.
Main duties of the job
Support and maintain the processes in respect of all placement systems/medical education activity to ensure a quality standard of accuracy of data is established and maintained. To be flexible by providing good quality administrative support for both the placement & medical education teams. Depending on the service priorities, there may be a need to cover for sickness/annual leave etc. Monitor, update, and maintain data/cleansing for the Practice Assessment Record and Evaluation (PARE) system & In-place databases, and all other platforms that serve NHS England and our local Higher Education Institutes (HEIs). Organise & coordinate all administration PARE placement audits, a requirement for NHSE, HEI's and other regulatory bodies using the tripartite process as best practice. Provide administrative support on the Horus e Portfolio for foundation doctors in training, issuing log ins and updating rotation and supervisor information for learners as appropriate/ directed. Support the development of documentation, communications and guidance around placement learning/clinical activity that will underpin effective training and education across DBTH. Support the management/maintenance of all relevant tools implemented or developed to support student/learner activity & attendance e.g. simply book & sign-in app
