Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month community team leader secondment. We are looking for a band 6 midwife with advanced community experienced to embrace this role that covers all areas across the county. You will be leading a team who are committed to the on-going promotion of women-centred care. You will also be joining an organisation that offers excellent career development opportunities.
Main duties of the job
Band 7 Team Leader for Community Midwives
As a team leader you will co-ordinate the team and use your knowledge and experience to support the midwives in the team. You will case load your patients, providing continuity and support.

Desirable
Diploma / Degree level ALSO course NLS course Community midwifery experience 3+ years
EXPERIENCE Essential
Clinical Skills ie perineal suturing, IV Cannulation Understanding of learning and teaching styles and their application Ability to act as a mentor for Midwives, students and MCAs, skilled in teaching trained and untrained staff, carers and patients Excellent communication skills with all members of the team, patients and relatives Good verbal and written English which can be evidenced at interview or IELTs level 7 (in all elements) or above Demonstrates effective management in the clinical environment Awareness and respect for colleagues, patients and relatives cultural, religious and emotional needs and beliefs Good previous attendance record

Evidence of managerial development IT literate on Microsoft Office and Excel Management of Change process
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE Essential
