We are delighted to advertise this exciting opportunity for someone who is an experienced Specialist Hand Therapist with significant operational management experience and well-developed leadership skills, to join our welcoming, knowledgeable, and innovative team as Clinical lead and Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

Main duties of the job
This is a dual advanced clinical practice and operational role where, as Clinical Lead you will oversee the Hand Therapy service and the Inpatient Plastic surgery provision. You will lead our growing team of well-established Hand Therapists including those at satellite outpatient clinics at Mount Vernon Hospital and also North Middlesex.
In Advanced clinical practice you will be integral to leading the Closed Hand trauma pathway.
You will also oversee manage your own complex caseload, provide clinical governance, and drive service development while supporting a team of rotational and experienced therapists. You will work closely with our Consultant hand therapist and be supported in this role by the Outpatient Lead for Therapy services working closely to develop and progress the Hand Therapy strategic direction.
Our team has excellent support from the Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedic departments and is interlinked with multiple other specialties.

Education & professional Qualifications Essential
Degree / Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy oHPCP registration oQualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist who has extensive experience in the field of Hand Therapy and plastic surgery. oEvidence of study at MSc level or being awarded accredited Hand Therapist (BAHT) status oEvidence of post-graduate study in adult education theory oPostgraduate Leadership or Management training
