Job summary **Part time 33.75 hours per week** Are you passionate about saving lives, shaping clinical practice, and inspiring others to deliver the very best care when it matters most? We're looking for an experienced, passionate resuscitation professional to join our small, dynamic and friendly multidisciplinary Resuscitation Department at HDFT. This is a role that blends clinical leadership, education, data analysis and staff support, with a direct impact on patient outcomes and workforce readiness across both acute and community services. You will support colleagues before, during and after critical events through collaborative working, debriefing and learning, while also analysing 2222 data to identify learning, share insight and drive improvement.

This is a demanding but rewarding post, offering autonomy, variation and the opportunity to influence practice at every level - all within a supportive team that values daily huddles, shared problem-solving and support.

Main duties of the job

This role is about making a difference where it matters most. As a Senior Resuscitation Officer, you will combine clinical expertise, education and insight to improve care across the Trust.

Your key duties will include:

Leading on the delivery of high-quality resuscitation training (adult, paediatric and newborn) across acute and community settings Attending 2222 calls in a leadership and/or advisory role Analysing data, identifying learning and sharing it with teams to drive improvement Supporting colleagues through debriefs and follow-up after resuscitation events Contributing to audit, governance, policy development and digital transformation initiatives Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to strengthen resuscitation practice and awareness Support is central to how we work.You'll be welcomed with a structured induction and development package with ongoing mentorship. Daily team huddles provide space to check in, prioritise workload and look out for one another, while a strong team culture ensures you are never facing the challenges of resuscitation work alone.

As a Senior Resuscitation Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering and developing a highquality resuscitation service across Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

You will:

Provide expert clinical leadership during cardiac arrests and lifethreatening emergencies Lead on the delivery of resuscitation training (adult, paediatric and newborn) across acute and community services Analyse cardiac arrest and medical emergency data Support colleagues through debriefing Contribute to audit, governance, policy development and national cardiac arrest submissions Monitor training compliance and data reporting Provide clinical leadershipto the Resuscitation Department and across the Trust Work autonomously at Band 7 level, managing competing priorities and complex situations Deputise for the Service Lead for Resuscitation and support the operational leadership of the service Essential Professional Qualifications You must:

Hold current professional registration with the NMC or HCPC (Nurse, Paramedic, Operating Department Practitioner, Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Physicians Associate) Have a minimum of four years postregistration clinical experience Have at least two years experience working as a Resuscitation Officer or similar role Hold current Resuscitation Council UK ALS Instructor status Hold current EPALS or APLS Instructor or Provider status (and be willing to work towards Instructor status if not yet achieved) Please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for full details.

Registered Professional Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Operating Department Practitioner, ACP, Physicians Associate At least Four years experience including critical/emergency care setting Current RCUK ALS Instructor Experience of working as a Resuscitation Officer or similar Current EPALS/APLS Instructor or Provider

NLS Provider or Instructor Experience of Audit Experience of data analysis and quality improvement Recognised Teaching qualification - ENB 998/Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Educated to degree level or working towards.
