Job summary

Join our growing and supportive primary care team at Station Street Surgery and St Nicolas Medical Centre. We are looking for a motivated Salaried GP for 4 flexible sessions per week to support our expanding patient population.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly multidisciplinary team with strong clinical and management support. Main duties of the job

The role involves providing high quality NHS primary care across Station Street Surgery and St Nicolas Medical Centre. You will manage a varied clinical workload including acute presentations, chronic disease management, routine GP consultations, medication reviews, and appropriate follow up care.

You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team including ANPs, nurses, pharmacists, and experienced administrative staff. There is opportunity to contribute to service development, continuity of care, and improving patient access within a growing practice population.

The successful candidate will be supported by an approachable leadership and management team with flexible working arrangements and structured systems in place to support safe and efficient clinical practice.

Station Street Surgery and St Nicolas Medical Centre are friendly, growing NHS GP practices serving a diverse and rapidly expanding patient population in Nuneaton. St Nicolas Medical Centre is seeing significant growth from new housing developments, particularly young families and children, creating an exciting and dynamic primary care environment.

We have a supportive multidisciplinary team including experienced GPs, ANPs, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff. Our clinical GP team has experience across multiple specialist areas including cardiology, dermatology, womens health, prescribing leadership, and GP education, including a GP Training Programme Director. This provides excellent clinical support and opportunities for professional development and growth.

Main Duties

Provide high quality NHS primary care services

Manage acute and chronic presentations

Conduct routine GP consultations, medication reviews, and follow up care

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Maintain accurate clinical records and safe clinical practice

Participate in practice development and quality improvement where appropriate

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Essential Criteria Fully qualified GP with current General Medical Council registration and licence to practise Included on the GP Register Experience working in UK primary care Ability to manage acute and chronic presentations independently Good clinical decision-making and risk management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Good organisational and time management skills Commitment to patient centred care and continuous improvement Understanding of NHS primary care systems and governance

Desirable

Desirable Criteria Interest or experience in areas such as womens health, cardiology, dermatology, diabetes, respiratory medicine, or medical education Experience supervising or supporting trainees or junior staff Experience with EMIS Web Involvement in QOF, audits, or quality improvement projects Flexibility to support both practice sites
