Job summary
The ANP trainee role provides an opportunity for experienced clinicians to develop into advanced practitioners. It combines hands-on clinical experience with structured learning, enabling the trainee to gradually take on greater responsibility, expand their clinical expertise, and contribute more broadly to primary patient care and service development. Manor View Practice will sponsor your academic studies and you will be expected to study in your own time.
Main duties of the job
Core Clinical DutiesWork under supervision to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a range of conditionsTake patient histories and perform clinical examinationsDevelop and implement treatment plans appropriate to level of trainingRequest and interpret basic investigations (e.g. blood tests, ECGs, urine tests)Support safe prescribing practice (working towards independent prescribing if not yet qualified)Provide advice, health promotion, and patient education

Main duties of the job
Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with a wide range of health issues. Providing timely and effective treatment and management plans. Ensuring accurate documentation of patient consultations and treatment plans. Collaborating closely with doctors, care navigators, and other healthcare professionals within the triage hub. Participating in the continuous improvement of clinical processes and protocols. Job responsibilities
You will be working alongside our current team of Allied Health Care Professionals, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics and an FCP (Physiotherapist)
You will be provided with weekly debriefs and support from our GP Partners.
The ANP will act autonomously within their professional scope of practice providing care for patients face to face, telephone triage and home visits.
The post holder will use skills, knowledge and competencies as a qualified Advanced Health Care Professional in order to be responsible and accountable for managing patient caseloads for treatments, referral, admission and discharging patients as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
Work as part of our multi-disciplinary team alongside our GPs, Paramedics & ANP's to deliver safe and high-quality care. Carry out clinical practice at an advanced level using expert clinical skills, critical judgements & knowledge to deliver appropriate and safe care. Delivery of care in line with NSF, NICE guidelines and evidence-based care Triage and treat patients, performing specialist assessment of their needs and make referrals as necessary to other members of the primary and secondary health care teams as appropriate. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, including drug and non-drug based treatment methods into a management plan. Request diagnostic investigations and interpret within agreed protocols e.g. x-ray, blood tests, scans, etc. Assess, diagnose and treat patients in practice premises or their own home who require medical attention and/or refer to appropriate agency. Prescribing and reviewing medication that is appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with latest evidence-based practice, national and practice protocols and within the scope of qualified practice. Refer patients to other members of the multi-disciplinary practice teams, secondary care organisations and other organisations as necessary. Administrative:
Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of patient consultation, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team Ensure clinical systems kept up to date, recording and/or amending accurate details Ensure appropriate items of service claims are made accurately, reporting any problems to the practice administrator Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care and registration with the practice Attend and participate in practice meetings as required Restocking and maintenance of clinical areas and consulting rooms General:
Maintain your own annual registration with the HCPC and adhere to its Code of Professional Conduct. Promote a professional approach at all times to patients and staff, both in and out of the Practice. Maintain you own continuous CPD and ensure a PDP is kept up to date in line with the practice and nursing team development plans. Participate in and attend practice meetings and in-house training.

Qualifications Essential
Essential Band 6 nursing Minimum 2 years experience
Desirable
Independent Prescriber qualification Any acute nursing level 7 modules but minor illness and injury is deal although sponsorship for this course will be available.
