We are passionate about getting it right for patients and their families. In order to achieve this we are looking to appoint a compassionate, enthusiastic, motivated and caring nursing healthcare assistant (HCA) who has proven experience in providing care.
The successful candidate will join our busy, friendly clinical team of Clinical Nurse specialists, Nurses and Doctors to deliver safe and effective care to patients who are having general outpatient gynaecology appointments and outpatient diagnostic procedures at both Barnet General and Chase Farm Hospitals, the successful candidate will be expected to work at both of these hospital sites in our Gynaecology Outpatient / Oncology Clinics.
A vital part of this role will be acting as a support and chaperone to the patient so we are looking for someone that has excellent communication skills and who can build an excellent relationship with our patients quickly.

Main duties of the job
As a member of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the delivery of patients' individual care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
The Senior Nursing Assistant demonstrates a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific tasks delegated by the nurse in charge and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies. S/he will undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.
Assist with the induction, supervision and training and development of Band 2 Nursing Assistants under the supervision of a registered nurse.
To support gynae oncology team as well as gynae outpatient team with chaperoning duties.
There is the opportunity to develop within the role and undertake further training and development.
To act as a role model for student nurses and colleagues.
This job will be a mixture of Monday to Friday, with some evening clinics and weekends.
