Main duties of the job The role of Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care. Responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in person-centred care planning, and supporting residents with medication requirements. The role also involves undertaking staff supervisions and acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals. A positive attitude, effective communication skills, and flexibility are essential for this role.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

The ideal candidate must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, along with 2 years of experience in a similar care environment. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
