Pre-assessment Outpatient Clinic Coordinator, at the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven, Band 3, 34 hours per week.

We would welcome an applicant to join and work with the Pre-assessment Department within the admin service. This post will be working alongside the current Outpatient Coordinator/Receptionist to provide first point of contact for patients attending the department.
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the pre-assessment service, ensuring reception area is manned at all times. The role involves welcoming patients, carers, relatives and visitors into the department by acting as the first point of contact for patients attending the pre-assessment service.
The post holder will undertake timely validation of patients' key demographics and information, accurately record the outcome of the appointment, answering the phone and dealing with all enquiries.
Utilisation of all the relevant IT applications required for the post.
This role is vital to support patient safety.

Knowledge and Experience Essential
