Main duties of the job As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will focus on delivering high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Responsibilities include assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care while ensuring their independence, dignity, and respect. You'll be responsible for recognizing clinical risk areas in residents, such as weight loss or signs of infection, and escalating these risks in a timely manner. The role requires courteous interaction with residents and visitors while practicing safe systems of work. No prior experience is required as Avery offers a thorough induction and training program to ensure confidence in your role. Success in this role demands living by values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. The Care Assistant must have effective communication skills, be efficient at carrying out instructions, and be adaptive and flexible to cover various responsibilities as needed.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner. Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home. Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members. Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
