Our Facilities Team currently have an opportunity for a Facilities Assistant. Continue your journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best . This role is to assist the Facilities Manager in the delivery of high quality facilities services including: Cleaning (internal & external), Maintenance & Buildings, Security, Health & Safety and Waste.

Main duties of the job As a Bank Facilities Assistant you will;

To assist the facilities manager in organising the departments resources including maintenance requests, and the selection and ordering of goods / equipment To ensure compliance is kept with all relevant standards and legislation, including Health and Safety within the hospital To interact with all Suppliers and Maintenance Providers and ensure they are supported onsite To ensure that all supplier documentation is maintained to the standards required To monitor and maintain health and safety To assist in the delivery of projects & maintenance To maintain the internal and external areas of the site to Nuffield standards

Shrewsbury hospital, ranked as 'Good' in the last CQC inspection, is purpose built and well equipped with 30 en-suite bedrooms, 3 operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, an Ambulatory Care Unit, and a busy outpatients department which includes physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging. Our diagnostic provision includes X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI and CT facilities.

We offer the most up to date surgical treatments combined with a warm welcome and a professional and caring service from our matron-led nursing team. We specialise in the areas of orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cosmetic surgery, and women's health, but also undertake general surgery, urology, and interventions for chronic pain management.
