Main duties of the job As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness and manage laundry operations within the care home, adhering to established housekeeping procedures. The role requires carrying out cleaning tasks according to instructions, understanding the cleaning needs of various surfaces, and presenting areas well. Responsible for ensuring resident dignity by respecting their personal space, the ideal candidate possesses Health and Safety knowledge, particularly regarding Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. Prior experience in public laundry settings is required. The assistant must be adaptable, demonstrate compassion, and be dedicated to high-quality housekeeping service.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions. Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected..
