About this role

Job summary

The Path Links Supplies and Administration Officer plays a key role in delivering an efficient, accurate and compliant procurement and administrative service across the Path Links network. Based at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, this post supports pathology services across five main hospital sites and additional outlying locations.

Working as part of a dedicated Business Support team, this role will contribute to the day-to-day operation of procurement and administrative activity. The post holder will proactively work with managers, clinical teams, procurement and finance colleagues, other NHS organisations and external suppliers, taking ownership of routine enquiries.

Main duties of the job

The role requires excellent Microsoft Excel skills and confident use of Microsoft 365 applications to maintain accurate financial and activity records supporting chargeable pathology work. This includes collating and analysing data, maintaining price lists, monitoring charges against contracts, and supporting invoice checks through the Trust e-Procurement system to ensure accuracy prior to authorisation.

The post holder must be adaptable and able to work to changing priorities, demonstrating excellent communication and analytical skills to ensure information is interpreted accurately.

Education / Qualifications Essential

NVQ Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent level of knowledge Maths & English GCSE (or equivalent)

Experience of working in busy office environment Confident use of MS Office 365, including strong proficiency in Excel
