Job summary
Our Cleaning Operations Team Leader will be reporting to our Deputy Cleaning Operations Manager.
Our service cover from 06:00 hours - 20:00 hours, 7 days week on a rota basis.
Our Cleaning Team Leader support the day-to-day management of c129 WTE Healthcare Cleaning staff and are vital to maintaining our Trust's Cleaning and Infection Control policies, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Main duties of the job
o To be visible on the "shop floor"; supporting Cleaning Operations staff, carrying out visual inspections of cleaning standards, ensuring cleaning tasks and cleaning sign off sheets are undertaken and completed in line with the required cleaning standardso Under the direction of our Deputy Cleaning Manager, support the delivery of the highest standard of cleaning services to patients, staff and visitorso Play a key role in implementing the proposed new cleaning operations service model to ensure high quality cleaning services are delivered to the NHS National Standards of Cleanliness and to our Trust's Cleaning and Infection Control policies

Qualifications Essential
Basic education to GCSE level including English and Maths qualifications
Desirable
British Institute of Cleaning Science Accreditation Training or to be prepared to work to gain the qualification essential for the role IOSHH NVQ3 Supervisory Management / ILM3 or equivalent qualification
Knowledge Essential
Experience of working to deadlines and multi-tasking is essential Experience of working in a cleaning service environment Experience of supervising and motivating teams Knowledge of Health and Safety Knowledge of office systems and procedures
Desirable
Ability to describe COSHH requirements in the workplace Experience of supervising large teams of cleaning staff in an NHS setting
