Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our established 33-bedded Diabetes & Endocrinology ward at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

We are a specialist medical ward delivering high-quality care to patients with complex diabetes and endocrine conditions alongside acute medical co-morbidities. Our patient group includes individuals requiring management of DKA, insulin pump therapy, variable rate insulin infusions, complex medication optimisation and structured patient education to support safe discharge.

This is a dynamic and rewarding clinical environment that will strengthen your acute assessment skills, medicines management competence and confidence in complex case management.

Main duties of the job

This role offers the opportunity to:

Education & Qualification Essential

NMC Registration or newly Qualified Evidence of ongoing professional development RGN Degree / Diploma Recent previous acute experience within the NHS

Experience & Knowledge Essential

Experience of working in an inpatient environment
