About this role
Job summary
Our Social Care CAMHS is seeking a highly motivated, skilled and experienced Psychologist to cover maternity leave for one year. If you are passionate about improving the mental health of young people and working with children and adolescents who are looked after by the local authority or on Child in Need or Child Protections plans, we would like to hear from you. We are a small but highly valued resource within the local authority, and we work closely with our multi-agency partners to provide an attached and trauma informed service.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people who are struggling with a range of difficulties who may need a more flexible and creative approach to engagement. The role is varied and includes offering consultations to social workers and foster carers, running groups, providing individual assessments and interventions directly to young people and training social workers.
Main duties of the job

We know through experience that different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative work environment that delivers better patient outcomes. We welcome applications irrespective of people's age, disability, sex, gender identity and gender expression, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or other personal circumstances. We have policies and procedures in place to ensure that all applicants are treated fairly and consistently at every stage of the recruitment process, including the consideration of reasonable adjustments for people who have a disability.
