We have an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Mental Health Team at HMP Garth

HMP Garth has a capacity of around 800 males and is a category B Prison located in Lancashire.

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will have experience working within Mental Health & Primary Care. You be based within the healthcare department and will also be required to work on the prison wings. HMP Garth Offers: Onsite parking Access to onsite gym Careers and development opportunities Hours:

Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week 8am - 4pm Salary

This position is permanent and you will receive an annual salary of between £59,677 - £66,792 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Advanced Clinical Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team, This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including; mental health, and substance misuse practitioners You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care. Qualifications required:

Registered Nurse Adult Mental Health with current NMC or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification MSc in Advanced Practice Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
