Sundry Shop / Café Supervisor
Picasso Restaurant Group – Mug Life Café Location: University of Michigan–Dearborn
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 10:30 AM–8:30 PM Pay: $19–$21 per hour (based on experience)
Picasso Restaurant Group is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Sundry Shop / Café Supervisor to join our team at Mug Life Café, located at the University of Michigan–Dearborn!
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently oversee daily operations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of the sundry shop and café.
• Supervise and support café team members.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Assist with preparing and serving food, coffee, and beverages.
• Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions.
• Monitor inventory, restock merchandise, and maintain displays.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
• Manage closing procedures and ensure the café is ready for the following day.
• Maintain a positive, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
• Previous café, retail, or food service experience required.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to multitask.
• Comfortable handling cash and operating POS systems.
• Ability to work independently and lead by example.
