Speech-Language Pathologist Opening - IMMEDIATE
Creative Speech Solutions, LLC (a pediatric therapy center with offices located in Summit and Montclair, NJ) is hiring a part-time experienced Speech Pathologist to run Saturday Social Skills Groups (SATURDAY ONLY).
Weekly Social Skills Groups are for individuals with learning differences (ages 3-9). The mission of the group is to improve perspective taking, non-verbal communication (e.g., interpreting and demonstrating body language), conversation skills, problem solving, emotional regulation, and flexible thinking. A variety of strategies from different therapeutic approaches and models are integrated into our groups. This group offers individuals a chance to interact with others and develop meaningful relationships.
Candidates interested in this SLP role at CSS are required to have the following:
• Master’s degree from an accredited speech therapy program
• NJ State License, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Minimum of two years of work experience in pediatric private practice and/or school setting and also providing therapy or social skills groups to children who are Gestalt Language Processors (GLP).
• Experience creating and running social skills groups and providing therapeutic services for children with delays or disorders in the areas of various diagnosis and development levels
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and a strong desire to work with children with developmental disabilities
• Patience, persistence and ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team
