Integrated Specialist Palliative Care CNS
Full Time - 37.5hrs with weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Integrated Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver expert palliative and end-of-life care across acute, community and integrated settings, supporting patients with complex needs and their families.
As a Band 7 CNS, you will provide advanced clinical leadership, specialist assessment, care planning, and education, working collaboratively across organisational boundaries to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
We also welcome applications from experienced Band 6 nurses with a strong interest in palliative care who wish to develop into a Band 7 role. A structured development and supervision programme will be offered to support progression for suitable candidates.

Registered Nurse status with significant post-registration experience Specialist knowledge and experience in palliative and end-of-life care Excellent communication, leadership and multidisciplinary working skills Commitment to education, service development and quality improvement If you are passionate about improving outcomes and experiences for people with life-limiting illness, we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
To provide a highly specialist palliative care service for people with life-threatening illness, aiming to enhance quality of life for patients and carers with complex physical, psychological and emotional needs. To manage a caseload and assess and evaluate the care given.
To act as a specialist resource, to other professionals including independent contractors, this includes the development and delivery of educational programmes both on a primary care and the private sector (care homes) related to the care and management of patients.
