Are you an experienced Practice Manager looking for a rewarding role in a forward-thinking primary care setting? Limelight Health and Wellbeing Hub is looking for a motivated and highly organised individual to lead the operational running of our busy practice.
This is a hands-on operational role. Strategic leadership sits with our Business Manager and Primary Care Support Manager, giving you the space to focus on what matters most ensuring the practice runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with CQC standards day to day.

Limelight Health and Wellbeing Hub is an innovative NHS GP surgery located in the heart of Old Trafford, Manchester M16 9NW, operating from purpose-built modern premises at 1 St Brides Way. As a larger GP surgery, we provide comprehensive NHS primary care services to patients registered in the M15 and M16 postcode areas. We are proud members of the North Trafford Primary Care Network PCN, working collaboratively with partner practices to deliver integrated care for our local community.
Our practice is built on a foundation of accessibility and inclusivity. We offer services in over 70 languages including English, Urdu, Arabic, Bengali and Punjabi, reflecting the rich diversity of the communities we serve. We accept new patients and offer a full range of primary care services including same-day appointments, routine care, chronic disease management, and proactive preventative health initiatives.
Limelight is situated in Old Trafford, part of the Old Trafford in Greater Manchester. Our patient population spans vibrant and diverse communities including Firswood, Old Trafford, Whalley Range, Hulme, and the Manchester Science Park area, covering postcodes M15 and M16. The practice has approximately 9000 patient list.

Line manage the Office Manager, Senior Administrator, and admin team
Conduct regular one to ones, appraisals, and performance reviews
Manage staff rotas, leave, and absence, ensuring appropriate cover at all times
Support recruitment, induction, and training of administrative staff
Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive team culture
Operational Management Oversee all day to day operational functions of the practice
Ensure practice systems, workflows, and processes are efficient and consistently followed
Act as the primary point of escalation for operational issues and patient concerns
Manage premises, equipment, and supplies, liaising with relevant finance as required
Monitor and manage appointment capacity and patient access with the reception supervisor and the office manager in line with practice targets
Support the Business Manager with claims, reporting, data returns, and contract compliance
Compliance & Quality Ensure the practice operates in line with CQC requirements and primary care regulations
Support the preparation and management of CQC inspections and audits
Oversee significant event reporting and learning, escalating where necessary
Systems & Administration Maintain working knowledge of EMIS and Docman, supporting staff with system queries
Oversee the management of clinical tasks, correspondence, and document workflows
Ensure accurate and timely processing of referrals, results, and patient communications
Identify opportunities to improve system usage and administrative efficiency
Communication & Liaison Serve as a key point of contact for clinicians regarding operational and administrative matters
Build effective working relationships with the ICB, PCN, and external stakeholders
Represent the practice professionally in meetings and communications

Experience Essential
3 years as a GP practice Manager
Qualifications Essential
Minimum 3 years experience as a Practice Manager in a GP or primary care setting Proven experience line managing and leading an administrative team Working knowledge of EMIS clinical system Working knowledge of Docman document management system Sound understanding of CQC requirements and primary care compliance Excellent organisational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Confident decision maker with the ability to manage competing priorities Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
Desirable
Experience working within a PCN or multi site primary care environment Knowledge of NHS contractual frameworks GMS Relevant management qualification or equivalent continuing professional development Experience supporting or preparing for CQC inspections
