Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Services Manager to join our team.
This is a key leadership role and the post-holder will oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical services including community imaging services for NHS contracts and private services and private healthcare services, ensuring excellence in patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
The role would suit an experienced Business/Practice Manager or Clinical Services Manager with previous experience in a healthcare organisation. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day to day running of services whilst supporting service development, improving patient access and driving sustainable growth across both our NHS and private healthcare services. You will lead and support a multidisciplinary team, driving innovation and continuous improvement in community healthcare.
We are particularly interested in applicants who have strong leadership and people management skills and can demonstrate experience in improving service delivery, developing new healthcare services, or supporting business growth within a clinical environment.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will support the safe, effective and patient-centered delivery of services for both NHS and private patients, including diagnostics, private GP services and Specialist Consultant clinics. The role requires strong leadership, service improvement capability, regulatory compliance oversight and close collaboration with clinical and non-clinical teams.
This is a key leadership role responsible for the day to day operational management of the organisation whilst identifying and developing opportunities across NHS and private services.You will work closely with the Clinical and Executive team to improve performance, enhance patient experience and support strategic growth.
Monitor and evaluate service performance, ensuring key performance indicators are met.
Support the expansion and development of new clinical services and pathways.
Support the interface between primary and secondary care services.
Deliver business cases and SOPS to support further expansion of the services provided.
Support and promote a strong culture of clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety, ensuring compliance with CQC standards, NHS contractual requirements, Information Governance standards.
Monitor quality indicators, patient outcomes, complaints and feedback.
Support continuous improvement in patient satisfaction and experience
Manage clinic performance on patient access, utilisation, service efficiency ensuring all KPIs are met.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Experience managing healthcare services in NHS, private healthcare or community healthcare setting. Experience overseeing operational delivery of clinical services. Experience in clinical governance, quality assurance and risk management. Experience handling complaints, incidents and service improvement initiatives Experience working with healthcare standards and compliance standards Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A commitment to improving community health outcomes and patient experience.
Desirable
Experience supporting private GP or specialist consultant services. Experience in service mobilisation or healthcare business growrth Experience within community diagnostics services
Qualifications Essential
Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in healthcare management, healthcare administration, allied health profession or related field.
