Our dedicated team strives to meet the unique needs of each project while ensuring comfort and efficiency.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time in-office role for an HVAC Estimator based in Etobicoke, ON. The HVAC Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing proposal budgets, and collaborating closely with technicians, suppliers, and the service/dispatch team. Day-to-day tasks include providing accurate descriptions of recommended repairs, reaching out to suppliers, estimating materials and labor costs, purchasing materials and verifying accuracy. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills will be key for success in this role.Key Responsibilities
* Review recommendations provided by Technicians * Reach out to various suppliers for accurate pricing on recommended materials * Prepare accurate cost estimates including labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing * Obtain and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors * Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project feasibility and cost efficiency * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing and industry trends
Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in HVAC estimating or related field * Strong understanding of HVAC systems and construction processes * Strong analytical and mathematical skills * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills * Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
* HVAC certification or related trade background * Experience in commercial or industrial HVAC projects * Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Ontario
