About this role
Part-Time (Minimum 20 hours a week guaranteed) Schedule: 1pm to 9pm Monday to Friday (as best suits the needs of the program). Qualifications:ECE Diploma or equivalent experienceExperience in childcare is required.Knowledge and understanding of aboriginal cultureMust pass CPIC & Vulnerable record checkValid Class 5 Sask. driver's licence Excellent communication shillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamComputer Skills Responsibilities Work as part of a team to provide childcare & housing support for clients in a flexible, compassionate, and responsible manner.Maintain a safe, healthy, compassionate environment protecting the wellbeing of children;Plan, provide, and take part in play-based activities that stimulate and support children's intellectual, physical, social, emotional, & language development;Listening to, encouraging, enabling, stimulating, and ensuring the safekeeping of children;Provision of refreshments encouraging healthy eating, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and outings to local points of interest;Providing opportunities to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, & physical activity;Communicate effectively with parents, other staff members, and management regarding the children in care of the childminder;Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers;
