Located in Pitt Meadows on the farm our family purchased in 1932, Hopcott Premium Meats is a third-generation, family-run business committed to bringing quality, local, farm-fresh products to your table.
We?re looking for an energetic, reliable, and friendly *Produce Clerk* to help keep our products fresh, displays looking great, and customers feeling welcome.
*Availability:* We are looking for someone available Thursday through Sunday. Saturday availability is required; Sunday availability is preferred.
About the Role
As a Produce Clerk, you will help keep our produce department stocked, organized, and welcoming. You will receive and rotate products, prepare and package produce, maintain attractive displays, and provide friendly, helpful customer service.
This is an active role in a busy, team-oriented environment, with opportunities to build your product knowledge and develop your skills.
What You Will Do
- Stock and rotate produce to keep products fresh and displays looking their best.
- Receive deliveries, check quality, and organize storage areas.
- Wash, cut, package, and label fresh and frozen produce.
- Help customers find products and answer questions.
- Keep the department clean and follow food safety procedures.
- Work with your team and communicate stock needs or concerns.
What You Bring
- Produce or grocery experience and FOODSAFE Level 1 are assets.
- A friendly attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and good teamwork.
- The ability to stay organized in a busy environment.
Working Conditions & Availability
- Active work involving standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with assistance when needed.
- Comfortable working in coolers, freezers, and outdoor display areas.
- Flexible availability, including at least one weekend day.
