We have an exciting opportunity for Senior Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy aseptic team within the Hull University teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
We have a well-established Aseptic Service that is developing new innovative technical roles and we welcome staff whose aim is to work with the team to provide high quality aseptic services and bring fresh ideas.
Candidates should have experience as a registered Pharmacy Technician and some post registration experience of working within an aseptic or hospital pharmacy team is essential.
The successful applicant will initially be appointed as a band 4 Pharmacy Technician to allow them to undertake structured competencies within an agreed timeframe, and will be expected to successfully complete all objectives, training and relevant qualifications within a minimum of 2 - 3 months and a maximum of 18 months. Band 5 will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of training. Pharmacy Technicians with extensive previous experience in aseptic manufacturing may be recruited at Band 5
Main duties of the job
The Senior Aseptic technician technician will be based at the Queens Centre and will participate in the late night, on call, weekend and Bank Holiday working of the department.
You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the commitment and motivation to develop new services and undertake further training. To meet the changing needs of the service, the duties and working times attached to this post may be subject to reasonable change in the future.

Education / Qualifications Essential
Registered with the GPhC Holds BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences and NVQ in Pharmacy Services Level 3 (or equivalent to enable registration with the GPhC) Qualified accuracy checking Willing to participate and attain further qualifications as required by the job role

QCF level 4 or above in a qualification relevant to this post PIPC and / or PAAP qualified or working towards Leadership / team management training programme completion IT pharmacy application system knowledge and experience IT proficient in Microsoft Office products
Knowledge, Training & Experience Essential
Experience (through placements or employment) of working in a busy environment One-year post-qualification experience working within an aseptic unit
