Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Tasks
- Operate buses, school busses or streetcars to transport passengers.
- Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
- Complete logbooks and reports.
- Ensure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing street while bus is stopped.
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
- Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
- Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles and buses with fewer than 24 passengers).
- Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check.
- Driving record check (abstract).
- Transportation/travel information: Driver's abstract.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours.
- Hand-eye co-ordination.
- Sitting.
- Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills.
