Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Tasks
- Measure and lay out reference points for installation.
- Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
- Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices.
- Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system.
- Interpret gas codes.
- Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems.

- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.

- Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.).
- Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Support for mature workers: Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers .
