We are a busy GP surgery, looking to recruit a medical secretary to join our friendly team based in Aberystwyth
To help with secretarial duties, Medical reporting and notes summarising and admin duties.

Typing of electronic dictations Typing referrals, correspondence and reports for GPs Child and Adult safeguarding administration Processing of referral updates from secondary care Monitoring of urgent suspected cancer referrals Responding to general enquiries from patients regrading referrals Liaising with outside agencies to obtain/provide information, both written and verbal Liaising with patients and attached staff Setting up and monitoring of, and granting access to third party systems Sending and receiving of emails and electronic notifications Maintaining filing systems Maintaining office systems Organising of clinics Cover for Medico-legal secretary when on leave

ESSENTIAL
Acceptable DBS check Previous secretarial experience, or a strong administrative background Ability to touch type Proficient in the use of email and internet Minimum of English GCSE/O Level Confidentiality and discretion Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Proficient in spelling, punctuation and grammar Attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team Ability to work on own initiative Good interpersonal skills Ability to prioritise tasks Reliability Checkable employment history > 5 years DESIRABLE
