Pharmacy Assistant HMP Altcourse
Salary - £25,557 - £29,723 per annum
Our team is expanding, and we are looking for several Pharmacy Assistants to join our growing service at HMP Altcourse. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within our onsite pharmacy, while gaining exposure to a wider multidisciplinary team in a unique and supportive healthcare environment.
The pharmacy team play a vital role in delivering safe, effective care and supporting each patients health journey.
About HMP Altcourse
HMP Altcourse is the busiest remand prison in England, accommodating approximately 1,160 adult males with an average stay of 10 weeks. Practice Plus Group provides primary care and substance misuse services across eight wings, clinic areas, inpatient facilities, and reception services.
Working Pattern
Please note, this role requires flexibility and will include unsociable hours, such as evenings and weekends where applicable.
Shifts will be between 7am - 8pm Monday - Sunday.

Main duties of the job
What Youll Be Doing
You will support a range of clinical and operational activities, including:
Work alongside the Pharmacy Technicians on medication rounds - there are 3 rounds per day, morning, lunchtime and early evening Second checking and dispensing medication Work in the pharmacy and on the wings with patients Support nurses in clinic and treatment rooms Working collaboratively with nurses, GPs, and wider healthcare professionals
