Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements: Experience developing embedded software using C.Knowledge of microcontrollers, ideally STM32 or PIC32.Familiarity with RTOS and bare-metal programming.Understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, serial and wireless.Experience with debugging tools, Git and software testing.Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and hardware documentation.Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.Proactive approach, with the ability to explain technical decisions and work independently. Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain embedded firmware using C.Lead and contribute to the development of new products and software architecture.Work with microcontrollers, RTOS and bare-metal systems.Translate requirements into practical software solutions.Test, debug and troubleshoot embedded systems.Produce technical documentation, test plans and scripts.Collaborate with engineers and project teams to improve product performance and reliability. We are an innovative engineering business developing advanced traffic management technology. In this role, you will help develop next-generation traffic signal systems, including a new product platform, working closely with hardware and software engineers and contributing to technical decisions and product quality. The role is based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, with hybrid working. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:00–16:30, and Friday, 08:00–13:30, with flexible working available. Salary is up to £60,000 per annum. We offer 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, increasing with service, a company profit-sharing scheme and pension.
