We are looking for a Chief Product Officer (CPO) who can define direction, drive execution, and lead the evolution of our products, technology, and product organization. You will play a key role in strengthening our product platform, advancing our digital capabilities, and positioning Saab Danmark for sustainable long-term growth. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the Danish Management Team, you will hold overall responsibility for Saab Danmark's Product Organization, including Product Management and Product Development across Software, Hardware, Systems Engineering, and Testing. As CPO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Saab Danmark's next chapter. While ensuring successful delivery across an active project portfolio, you will lead the transition towards a stronger product-centric approach, where a scalable core platform enables future innovation, customer solutions, and digital services. This role requires a leader who can combine strategic vision with operational excellence, create followership across the organization, and unite technology, product development, and business priorities into one coherent direction. Key responsibilities Define, maintain, and drive the overall product, technology strategy in alignment with Saab’s vision, business objectives, and future market opportunities. Develop and execute a product roadmap that balances short-term delivery commitments with long-term product and technology investments. Lead and develop the Product Organization through Product Management, Software, Hardware, Systems Engineering, and Testing leadership teams. Strengthen Product Management capabilities and ways of working, ensuring clear ownership of product strategy, portfolio priorities, roadmap decisions, and customer value creation across the organization. Drive the evolution towards a more software-defined, cloud-enabled, and service-oriented product architecture, translating emerging technologies and digital trends into sustainable customer value. Ensure alignment between customer needs, business priorities, technology development, and product investments. Establish and strengthen the core product platform, enabling future customer solutions to be delivered through configuration, extension, and scalable reuse rather than repeated customization. Foster organizational effectiveness, accountability, and execution across the full product lifecycle. Build an aligned and high-performing leadership team by creating clarity, strengthening leadership capabilities, and fostering commitment to a shared direction across experienced technical leaders and specialist disciplines. Ensure clear prioritization of resources and development initiatives across competing demands. Safeguard the long-term direction, architecture, and integrity of Saab Danmark’s product portfolio. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, learning, and ownership. Contribute actively to company strategy and decision-making as a member of the company Management Team. What you bring You are an experienced product and technology leader with a strong track record from Product Management, Software Engineering, Product Development, or similarly complex technology-driven environments. You have successfully led organizations through growth, change, and transformation and know how to create results through clear direction, strong leadership, and effective collaboration. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels and have demonstrated the ability to translate ambitious visions into tangible business outcomes. Ideally, you bring: Experience from software-centric or software-defined product environments where product strategy, engineering excellence, and customer value creation are closely connected. Strong experience with Product Management, product strategy, roadmap management, and portfolio prioritization. A solid understanding of modern software development practices, platform thinking, and cloud technologies. Experience leading product, platform, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives and translating strategic ambitions into measurable organizational and business outcomes. Experience balancing the demands of ongoing customer deliveries with the long-term development of scalable products, platforms, and capabilities. The ability to balance operational delivery with long-term capability building. A strong commercial mindset combined with a deep appreciation for technology and innovation. The ability to navigate competing priorities and make clear decisions in complex environments. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to create alignment across diverse functions and leadership levels. Experience building trust, credibility, and followership in organizations with highly experienced technical leaders and specialists. Curiosity about emerging technologies and their potential impact on products, services, and business models. In addition, you must be able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required by Danish Defence Intelligence Service for this position. This typically requires candidates to have resided within a NATO or EU member state for the past seven years.
