Cardiac MRI Radiographer
Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust
Permanent | 37.5 Hours per Week | Four-Day Working Week
Are you an MRI radiographer looking to develop specialist expertise in cardiac imaging within one of the world's leading congenital heart disease centres?
At Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), you'll join a highly specialised Cardiac MRI service that delivers world-class imaging for children and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. Working alongside expert radiographers, cardiologists and cardiac imaging specialists, you'll contribute to imaging that directly informs complex clinical decision-making and helps shape the timing and planning of life-changing interventions and surgery.
This is a rare opportunity to develop advanced skills in Cardiac MRI while enjoying a four-day working week, a supportive multidisciplinary environment and excellent opportunities for professional development.
Main duties of the job
As a Cardiac MRI Radiographer, you will play an important role in delivering a safe, efficient and high-quality specialist imaging service for paediatric and adult patients. You will perform Cardiac MRI examinations, support patients and families throughout their imaging journey, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
The post is based on a 37.5-hour working week worked over four days (08:00-18:00). To support service delivery and provide flexibility across the team, the non-working day rotates each week, meaning postholders work Monday to Friday across the rotation while benefiting from a regular weekday off each week. There are no shift, weekend or on-call commitments associated with this role.
Working alongside expert radiographers, cardiologists, anaesthetists, nurses and physiologists, you will develop specialist knowledge and skills in congenital and paediatric cardiac imaging while contributing to a service recognised for clinical excellence, innovation and research.
