Our client is a boutique federal immigration law practice with more than 25 years of experience supporting entrepreneurs, corporations, investors, and families navigating complex U.S. immigration matters. The firm specializes in business, investor, and family-based immigration cases and operates in a collaborative, technology-forward environment.

Role OverviewThis Entry Level Paralegal role exists to support attorneys and senior paralegals across the full immigration case lifecycle. You will help organize case files, prepare immigration-related documentation, coordinate client communication, and maintain accurate records across multiple legal and CRM platforms.
The role is highly execution-focused and detail-intensive, requiring someone who is organized, proactive, tech-savvy, and eager to learn. You’ll work closely with senior legal professionals while operating within a structured training environment designed to help you grow into immigration law operations and case preparation.

Core ResponsibilitiesCase File Building & Maintenance — 35%Build and maintain organized digital client files within SharePoint and related systemsSave, label, and organize incoming client documents following firm naming conventionsUpdate and maintain accurate case records in Salesforce and DocketwiseEnsure all active matters are properly documented and accessible to the legal teamMonitor document completeness and follow up on missing case materialsUSCIS Form & Document Drafting — 25%Draft immigration-related government forms under supervisionPrepare exhibit lists and petition support documentationAssist with notice of filing and public access file preparationSupport attorneys and senior paralegals with petition assembly workflowsReview documentation for completeness and accuracy before submissionClient Communication & Coordination — 20%Communicate with clients regarding document requests, reminders, and status updatesCoordinate document collection and follow-up via email and virtual communication channelsJoin attorney-client Zoom calls to take notes and surface relevant case detailsHandle basic non-legal client inquiries and escalate legal matters appropriatelyMaintain professional, timely, and client-friendly communication standardsTool & Process Mastery — 15%Operate within Microsoft 365, Teams, Adobe, Salesforce, Docketwise, and SharePointUtilize AI tools such as Claude and Perplexity to support drafting and research workflowsFollow structured onboarding and training processesAdapt quickly to new systems, legal workflows, and operational changesMaintain accuracy and efficiency across digital legal operationsContinuous Learning — 5%Study immigration law concepts and terminology through internal learning resourcesTrack USCIS-related updates relevant to active caseworkProactively seek educational materials and ask thoughtful questionsContinuously improve legal operations and technology skillsRequirements
