About this role
We are looking to appoint a hard working and dedicated cleaner to join the small team of cleaning staff who manage the cleanliness needs of our friendly nursery school and day care.This position is fixed term (6 months).
You will work as part of the team, undertaking various cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure our children’s learning environment and staff work place is always clean.
Successful candidates will have:
Essential:
Experience in cleaning duties and knowledge of best practices in cleaningAbility to work under own initiative with limited supervisionAwareness of the importance of providing a quality service and satisfying the cleaning requirements of the schoolAwareness of the importance of hygiene in the work placeAbility to work on your own and to work as part of a teamReliableDesirable:
Level 2 cleaning qualificationUnderstanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and their responsibilities for SafeguardingUnderstanding of Health and Safety regulations as they relate to the operation of cleaning equipment and materialsAwareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)Understanding of the School’s ethos and valuesUnderstanding of school policies and willingness and ability to work within theseA ‘Can do attitude’
