Join Varian’s Proton Therapy team and work with one of the most advanced cancer treatment technologies.
As an Onsite Service Engineer at Helse Bergen, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our Proton Therapy System - the cutting-edge equipment used to precisely target tumors while protecting healthy tissue.
This is a replacement role within our established Proton Solutions Service Team.
This role operates on a rotating shift schedule, alternating on a weekly basis between day shift: 06:00 - 14:00 and evening shift: 14:00 - 22:00.
The Role:
• Perform hands-on maintenance on proton therapy equipment and supporting systems. • Troubleshoot issues and keep the system fully functional during clinical hours. • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and support regulatory compliance. • Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skills and Expertise:
• Technical education (Bachelors Degree or Technical Diploma). • Mechanical skills and understanding of electronic or electromechanical systems are essential. • Fluent English (written and spoken); Scandinavian language skills are a plus. • Willingness to work shift working hours on a weekly consecutive basis.
