About the role Join Strohm as Our Next <strong>Production Engineer!</strong><br><br>Analytical, hands-on, and passionate about process improvement? Join Strohm as a <strong>Production Engineer</strong> and play a key role in optimizing manufacturing performance, quality, and innovation.<br><br>As our <strong>Production Engineer,</strong> you'll play a key role in scaling our manufacturing operations and helping deliver high-quality products that support the energy transition.<br><br>Working at the heart of our production organization, you'll combine <strong>technical</strong> <strong>expertise</strong> with a <strong>hands-on approach</strong> to <strong>improve processes</strong>, <strong>solve manufacturing challenges</strong>, and <strong>support the production teams</strong> that keep our operation running safely and efficiently. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or a strong affinity for polymer extrusion. In this role, you will: <ul><li>Support the planning, preparation, and execution of extrusion and laminate production activities, including machine configurations, tooling requirements, and production setups;</li><li>Drive process improvements that increase safety, quality, productivity, process stability, and operational performance;</li><li>Optimize process control through automation, recipe management, line control systems, and monitoring of critical process parameters;</li><li>Investigate quality and safety observations, coordinate improvement actions, and maintain production standards, work instructions, and technical documentation;</li><li>Train and support Operators and Shift Leaders while collaborating with Engineering, R&D, and Commercial teams on product development and customer projects;</li><li>Identify and implement improvements in tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes, while participating in the on-call support rotation.</li></ul> What you bring: <ul><li>A Bachelor's degree in Polymer Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field;</li><li>2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing-focused engineering role;</li><li>A strong interest in manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement;</li><li>Experience with polymer extrusion processes; knowledge of PE, PA12, PVDF, or composite materials is a plus;</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on skills;</li><li>The ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines;</li><li>Strong communication skills in Dutch and English;</li><li>Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.</li></ul> Why join us? <ul><li>Salary between €4000,- and €6000,- based on experience and qualifications;</li><li>32 days of paid leave per year;</li><li>Be part of an innovative, fast-paced company with global impact;</li><li>Strohm’s Pension plan;</li><li>Discounted gym membership;</li><li>Bike lease plan through the company;</li><li>Commuting allowance or NS Business Card;</li><li>Company-provided phone;</li><li>Hybrid working model (office and home-based).</li></ul> Contact details Want to know more before you apply?
