About this role
Position Summary: Backstage crew primarily responsible for assisting actors with costumes and costume changes.
Physical Location of Work: Works at the theater, with no remote work possible
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Checking in costumes pieces before each performance
• Pre-setting costume pieces as instructed by Supervisor
• Performing quick changes and other costume changes during the performance
• Post show clean up & disinfecting of costume pieces
• Assist with Wigs and set pieces when needed
• Ensure that repair notes are clear and as detailed as possible
• Other duties as assigned
Skills and Educational Requirements:
• Educational Requirements: None
• Experience in Job Type: None Required, must be 18 years of age
• Skills Required:
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Organized
• Problem Solving
• Positive and helpful attitude
• Able to move quickly, bend down, climb stairs, carry up to 50lbs
• Basic sewing a plus
