JOB SUMMARY:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, orderly, and welcoming environment throughout Range facilities. This position performs routine cleaning and sanitation of office areas, restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and floors at the main office and shop. The position also performs periodic deep-cleaning and other facility-cleaning tasks as needed throughout the year. Perform routine maintenance including replacing light bulbs, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures and performing simple repairs to furnishings as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
• Cleans office and shop buildings by sweeping and mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying trash.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and other fixtures.
• Clean and maintain kitchen and breakroom areas, including counters, sinks, tables, appliances, and floors.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Maintain a clean and presentable appearance throughout the office.
• Sanitize door handles and light switches as needed but a minimum monthly.
• Washes Spot clean carpeting as needed. Deep clean carpets annually.
• Maintains clean and orderly supply room, advise when cleaning supplies and paper products need restocked. Stock restrooms and kitchen areas with appropriate paper products.
• Submit timesheets, business expenses, and other time sensitive documents in a timely manner.
• Follows all building security procedures, including safeguarding keys and access credentials, properly securing doors and windows, activating or deactivating alarm systems as assigned, and promptly reporting suspicious activity or security concerns.
• Safely uses, labels, stores, and disposes of cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions, Safety Data Sheets, and company procedures. Uses required personal protective equipment and display appropriate warning signage when cleaning floors or addressing spills when needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, spills, damage, unsafe conditions, or other facility issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Respects the privacy of employee workspaces and maintains confidentiality regarding documents, conversations, business activities, and other information encountered while performing duties. Does not open drawers, cabinets, files, or electronic equipment unless specifically authorized.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous custodial experience preferred

• Knowledge of cleaning products and solutions
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Skill in operating various basic hand and power tools.
• Skill in operating various cleaning equipment.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean and orderly facilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role performs assigned work duties within a general office environment. Employees are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes. Other functions and demands include the following:
• Occasional use of a computer, mobile device, or electronic timekeeping system for communication, supply ordering, training, and submission of time records.
• Hearing, listening, talking, standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, squatting, balancing, pushing/pulling, and climbing stairs are all expectations of this role, although some of these functions may be more seldom performed than others.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds frequently and occasionally lift 50 pounds, with or without assistance or the use of appropriate equipment.
• Must be able to work in various working conditions. This factor measures the surroundings or physical conditions under which a job must be done and the extent to which those conditions make the job disagreeable. Consider the presence and relative amount of exposure to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, contaminants, cold, noise, vibration, wetness, weather etc.
