About this role
The primary function of this role is to provide Personal Care Assistance - or Certified Nursing Assistance services to the individual in their home. These tasks include:
Assisting with household chores ( cleaning, changing linens, trash disposal)Assisting with bathing and hygieneAssisting with toiletingAssisting with transfers, walking, exercise, or ambulation, when neededAssisting with activities of daily living( personal grooming, and dressing)Assisting with grocery shoppingMeal and snack preparationsAssistance with reminders and monitoring medicationAssist with scheduling appointmentsAssist with transporting to appointmentsOvernight support
High School Diploma or GEDFirst Aid and CPR certificationCNA/ PCT certification requiredMust be very familiar with or previously trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)Must be very familiar and efficient with working with individuals with behaviors.Bilingual preferred but not requiredMust have at least three(3) years of RECENT experience in a health-related field, nursing homes, day program services, home health care, private duty care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Must be able to provide references and contacts of previous employers.Must have experience working with wheelchair bound patients, able to lift and assist with transfers, and or utilize a hoyer lift.Above average communication skills: oral and writtenMust have reliable transportation and be willing to transport individuals as neededMust be able to work independently without direct supervisionMust be able to pay attention to detail and report adequately.Must be willing to write/type documentationMust be familiar with Therap documentation systemMust be creative and willing to think outside the boxMust have the ability to utilize effective decision-makingMust be able to work cooperatively with individuals and their familyMust be able to follow procedures and emergency protocols properlyMust be willing to complete FBI- Background check, it will be required through the GA Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities if offered the position Must be willing to complete a TB test/ PhysicalMust possess a valid driver's license and insurance and be willing to provide a Motor Vehicle Report.Must be willing and able to follow ALL COVID-19 guidelines in accordance with recommendations from the CDC and the policies of GA DBHDD DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT A SERIOUS CANDIDATE WITH RECENT EXPERIENCE IN THIS FIELD
MULTIPLE SHIFTS AVAILABLE, IDEAL CANDIDATES SHOULD BE NEAR THE AREA AND AVAILABLE CONSISTENTLY SHIFT HOURS ARE- LIVE IN CNA STAFF IS PREFERRED
DAYS/EVENINGS/WEEKENDS/FULL-TIME/PART-TIME/PRN
MUST HAVE A VALID’S DRIVERS LICENSE AND WILLING TO DRIVE
MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO WORK ADDITIONAL HRS IF NEEDED
MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW PROCEDURES AND POLICIES OF THE AGENCY
MAY BE REQUIRED TO TAKE COVID TESTS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF ALL INDIVIDUALS SERVED AND EMPLOYEES
