About this role
Assisting elderly individuals on a one to one basis to maintain and promote independent living. Each of our client's have a care plan and activities that are tailored to their way of life. However you will be trained in the following aspects of care and be willing to support both male and females with these services:
Personal hygiene careAdministering, prompting and managing medicationManual handling and assisting with mobilityFood preparation, nutrition and hydrationSocial activities and safe exerciseRunning external activities such as shopping trips and attending appointmentsLogging visit notes and liaising with the officePromoting healthy and happy lifestyleLight housekeeping Most importantly building relationships and providing companionshipPlease note these activities will vary from one individual to the next, no client is the same and that makes for an interesting and stimulating environment.
Home Instead Care workers travel from their own home to their clients in the towns and villages surrounding where you live. For this reason having transportation is preferable. You will be provided with full training.
