We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Bradford-on-Avon, United Kingdom. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes and within the community.
Assist clients with everyday activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication managementSupport clients in accessing community activities and pursuing their interestsHelp with domestic duties such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundryProvide companionship and emotional support to clientsEnsure clients' safety and well-being both at home and in the communityCollaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to deliver comprehensive careMaintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in conditionEncourage and support clients in developing life skills and maintaining their independenceAccompany clients to appointments and social outings as neededAdapt care plans to meet the changing needs of clients Previous experience in a support worker role or similar caring position is preferredExperience with challenging behaviour is advantageous, but not essentialWillingness to learn and adapt to individual client needs is crucialFull driving licence and access to own vehicle is requiredAbility to operate a client's vehicle when necessaryStrong commitment to providing high-quality care and supportExcellent reliability and punctualityTeam player attitude with the ability to work independently when requiredOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping othersPhysical stamina to assist with mobility and personal care tasksProblem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressureBasic first aid knowledge is desirable, but training can be providedFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekendsA caring and inclusive approach to supporting diverse client needs Here’s what some of our support workers have to say about working at Home Instead.
