About this role
The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for the position of full-time Barista at Cafe J, Ivan's Cafe, & Cafe on the Ave within our campus Hospitality department. The UOES division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, research initiatives, athletics, alumni, and annual campus celebrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and anticipate the needs of guests, providing excellent servicePrepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to brand standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, including dining and prep spacesStock and replenish supplies in service and prep areasAssist with cleaning, table arrangement, and trash removalSupport coworkers to ensure a seamless operation
Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision1-2 years of Barista experiencePositive and respectful attitudeExcellent communication and listening skillsAbility to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr + tips
