About this role
As a Senior Python Software Engineer, you will design, build, operate, and scale the technical platforms, services, and tools that support the entire machine learning lifecycle. You will create the foundation for data collection, model training, deployment, and operations, working at the intersection of software engineering, data platforms, MLOps, and machine learning.
The primary focus of this role is the development of production-ready software solutions, platforms, and workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities will mainly involve software development, architecture, automation, and system integration, rather than training machine learning models.
Typical tasks span:
Machine Learning Engineering
Build end-to-end ML training pipelines (ingestion, validation, transformation, training, evaluation)Deploy, optimize and package models for inferenceSupport the platform team to serve models in cloudSupport the ai runtime team to serve models on edge/sortersParticipate in data and model centric research and innovationData Management
Build, integrate and maintain secure data platforms (e.g., SQL/NoSQL warehouses, object storage, feature stores)Ensure data security, privacy, and complianceService & ML Tooling
Design and implement REST APIs to expose ML services and data platform functionalityDevelop and maintain internal tools and web-based UIs that support ML workflowsSoftware Engineering
Apply software engineering practices for version control, code reviews, and accurate technical documentationDevelop robust and maintainable code with unit, integration, and performance tests and knowledge transferContainerize components and implement CI/CD pipelinesMaintain and troubleshoot ML tooling in productionClose collaboration and alignment with our internal usersWe expect high ownership of assigned projects including stakeholder management, requirements engineering, project management and technical decisions.
Several years of proven professional experience delivering production ML systems with measurable impact Expertise in Python Expertise in computer vision and ML/DL tooling Proficiency in MLOps: data modelling, packaging, containerization, CI/CD Proficiency in data science for vision-based model optimization Knowledge with (or willingness to learn) TypeScript, REST API development, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React)Knowledge in cloud and on-prem platform and interfaces Knowledge in model optimization frameworks (TensorRT, ONNX, CUDA, cuDNN) and edge deployment on hardware (x64, ARM/Jetson) What to Expect
