About this role
What You'll Do
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of TOMRA sorting systems across Japan.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Commissioning, testing, integration, and start-up of TOMRA sorting equipmentPerforming preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical upgradesDiagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, and system-related issuesProviding on-site and remote technical support to customersOptimizing machine performance and maximizing equipment uptimeDelivering customer training for operators and maintenance teamsPreparing detailed service reports and technical documentationSupporting Sales and Project Management teams with technical expertiseParticipating in on-call support activities when requiredSharing field feedback and improvement opportunities with internal teams What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical EngineeringExperience in Field Service, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Commissioning, or similar technical environmentsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage technical issues in the fieldExperience working directly with customers in industrial environmentsSkills & Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skillsCustomer-focused and service-oriented mindsetExcellent analytical and diagnostic abilitiesSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solvingAbility to remain calm and effective under pressureStrong organizational and reporting skillsComfortable working in multicultural and international environmentsLanguage Requirements
Japanese: Business-level proficiencyEnglish: Professional working proficiencyAdditional Requirements
