Jr Quality Engineer (Manual & Automation)

About the role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience in both manual testing and test automation to join one of our cross-functional development teams. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring software quality throughout the entire testing lifecycle while also contributing to the development and maintenance of automated test suites.
You'll work closely with developers, product owners, and other Quality Engineers in an Agile (Scrum) environment to deliver reliable, high-quality software. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their QE career who wants to continue growing their automation skills while building a strong foundation in quality engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
Execute the full manual testing lifecycle, including test planning, test case creation, execution, defect reporting, and regression testingPerform functional, exploratory, integration, and regression testing of web applicationsDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScriptCollaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and define effective testing strategiesValidate API functionality and verify application behavior across different scenariosIdentify, document, and track software defects through resolutionParticipate actively in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiativesContinuously look for opportunities to improve testing efficiency through automation and AI-assisted productivity toolsQualification
1–2 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software TestingExperience performing end-to-end manual testing throughout the software development lifecycleExperience with Playwright and TypeScript for test automationUnderstanding of web application testing methodologies and Agile development practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detailExcellent spoken and written EnglishAdvantage
Experience working in the banking or financial services domainSQL skills and experience validating data qualityExperience using AI tools to improve Quality Engineering productivity (e.g., test case generation, debugging, automation development, or documentation)ISTQB Foundation or other relevant QA certificationsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test executionWork setup
