I'm currently partnering with a fast-growing technology business, that is undergoing significant finance transformation, with a focus on process automation and improving data quality.
They are looking for a Vendor Master Data Specialist to support a large-scale data cleansing project across their supplier database.
With approximately 2,000 vendors on their system, 1,300 of which have been uploaded with incomplete information, this individual will play a key role in ensuring supplier records are accurate, complete and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing existing vendor records and identifying missing or incomplete information.Checking whether suppliers are still active and identifying records that can be deactivated.Verifying supplier information and confirming its accuracy.Contacting suppliers directly by telephone or email where information is missing or needs confirmation.Updating the relevant information in the system.Supporting the business in ensuring supplier records are complete and accurate ahead of the new system go-live. Essential candidate requirements
Fluent English, both written and spoken.Confidence communicating with external suppliers over the telephone.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Experience with data administration, master data, accounts payable, supplier administration or similar transactional finance work would be beneficial.Comfortable working through a high volume of records in a structured, process-driven environment.
