Are you an experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer looking for a new opportunity in London?
We are working with a well-established and growing consultancy that is looking to strengthen its flood risk and drainage team with the appointment of a Senior Engineer.
This is a varied role where you will work across a range of development and infrastructure projects, providing flood risk and drainage advice from early feasibility through to detailed design.
The role will involve:
Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategiesSurface water and flood risk modellingHydraulic modelling using software such as MicroDrainage, Flood Modeller or TUFLOWDesigning surface water drainage and SuDS schemesSupporting planning applications and liaising with Lead Local Flood Authorities, Environment Agency and other stakeholdersProducing technical reports and drawingsWorking closely with engineers and other disciplines across the wider businessSupporting junior members of the team and helping to develop their technical skills About you:
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related subjectStrong experience within flood risk and drainage consultancyExperience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategiesGood understanding of UK flood risk, drainage and SuDS requirementsExperience with relevant hydraulic modelling and drainage design softwareConfident communicating with clients, stakeholders and colleaguesIdeally Chartered or working towards Chartership This is a great opportunity for a Senior Engineer who wants to work on a varied project portfolio, take on more responsibility and continue developing their career within a supportive technical team.
